@kore @juergen_hubert I think the two occasions when it is okay to be unabashedly pro-German (or pro-whoever) is during the Olympics and for international football matches.

Für mich heißt "patriotisch sein" nicht "die Flagge schwingen", sondern aktiv daran zu arbeiten, dieses Land zu einem besseren Ort für alle zu machen.

@juergen_hubert @kore Genau richtig.

The success of a country, for me, is not how well the richest are able to live, but how well it treats the least of its residents.

These oligarchs on both sides of the water think that showing where one's country is flawed teaches children to "hate their country". No, it shows them opportunities where people can work for their country to improve.
