Yeah, Linux is not for me anymore lol. As much as Windows' userland is completely outranked by KDE, it's just death by a thousand cuts for anything actually productive.

I genuinely wonder what is going on for people who are moving to Linux from Windows due to some technical issue, because Linux has been issue after issue for me while Windows has been fine.

Don't get me wrong, Microsoft has completely dropped the ball with Windows 11 to the point where I now require a modding system (Windhawk). If I had my way, I'd be permanently using KDE, or Niri. Niri is heartbreaking because the workflow is amazing, but I can't use it due to Wayland awkwardness.

And also, guess what operating system gives me MusicBee, Apple Music, Serif Affinity, VEGAS, Fortnite, KDE Kate, and PlayStation VR 2, all in one roof? Yeah.

If you're going to tell me that Linux desktop is for [insert your favourite ideology here], congrats! You just found out the reason Linux is still in the single digits for market share despite Linux being a solid kernel for literally everything else!

There's a stark contrast between the pragmatism of the Linux kernel and the ideological slop going on in the Linux desktop - and not just political, either. Even shit like "we don't want to be X11" parroted by Wayland/GNOME devs has resulted in the Linux desktop regressing in functionality.
