Does not feel like a horror movie at all. No gore... just an abusive relationship. Which is real life. The monster/robot element is, well, a metaphor for real life sh*t. #hatm
As he is tossing these chairs violently against the wall, I'm feeling it. That's scarier than a monster movie. #hatm
Oh no.... she's not going to leave the abusive relationship. Oh man, I wish this was not so real. I see this too often. #hatm
They're using this ground level shot of her house a lot in this film. It's a gorgeous, but ominous. #hatm
He's gaslighting her again. OK, enough, monster! Punch the robot in the head again and tell him to leave Seoul! #hatm
The playground, where we work out all our childhood dysfunctional relationships... I know it's "sci fi" but it's more real than most movies that aren't. #hatm
So, the thing is, we are like why is Korea and the world putting up with this robot thing in the middle of their city? Why don't they send it away or fight it for real? That's exactly the point of the movie. Why don't we? #hatm
The score is understated, but really effective. #hatm
No, Netflix, Virgin River is not a good next watch after this, but I appreciate the effort. #hatm
Here's the thing. I watch a lot of movies which are quite good, but which do not stand out much. They're just good for what they are. But this one - like Train Dreams - was of a totally different nature. It stood out. I really like this film. Great choice @[email protected] ! #hatm
