Captcha@Daojoan it's because Google broke the monetization mechanism. You used to be able to post text tutorials on your website, and it was paid for by display adds (and search traffic). Google broke this by scraping your site and displaying it in the 'summaries' box. Video on YouTube is still (somewhat) monetizable, so tutorials go there.

That’s why many are diversifying monetization instead of relying only on search + AdSense. Native ads (like MGID) can help recover some revenue since they don’t depend as much on search traffic.
