I felt bad for them jockeying for position on a pillow that I'd much rather have on my bed, so while I was out this morning I bought them a dog crate pad just for the boat. They really like it.

@saarmuller No I’m not. It was $13 at Walmart. A no-brainer to buy it for the boat. I can put it anywhere they like to lounge.
It is pretty soft, though. I could see snuggling on a human sized one of those with a cushy blanket.
