Sindarina, Edge Case DetectiveI need more good heist movies, but I think I have seen most of them. Anyone got any recommendations for recent heist movies in the vein of the Ocean's movies, Casa de Papel (which Netflix so boringly renamed 'Money Heist'), Now You See Me, and so forth, with a good ensemble cast?
Simon Rolfmore@sindarina @Ashedryden I’d say definitely Inside Man and possibly Highest 2 Lowest (both Spike Lee) depending on your flexibility, plus Jackie Brown if you are ok with Tarantino’s, er, unique voice.
Snatch (Guy Ritchie) is more of a caper but could count. Wrath of Man (same director) is more explicitly a heist.
And I’d finally throw out Heat (Michael Mann) as definitely _having_ a good heist. In fact, Thief is also excellent, and Public Enemies could count too (both Mann).
Finally, Catch Me if you Can (Spielberg) is very close in tone and emotional feel to Now You See Me, IMO.
