Do you know what it means to "burn a CD?"
I've never heard of "burning a CD".
I've heard of it but I don't know what it means.
I know what it means to burn a CD but I don't know how to.
I know how to burn a CD but I've never done it.

@dragon you might get wrong results here. while watching videos by gen-z-ers about going back to ipods, more than one of them have referred to the ripping of cds as "burning cds" and then "downloading the music onto the ipod"
@0 @dragon I'm gen z and I've burned a couple :P I've also used an iPod and other mp3 players for way longer than normal and had kids around me ask slightly silly questions about it xD

Yeah, language changes and all that, but... I guess they do that to annoy us old folks, eh? We can retaliate by using their lingo in the most cringe way possible 😂
@dragon I now realise that my latest CD-burning was about 5 years ago… how time flies.

@dragon I had this really nice IDE Plextor burner.

I still have some OS discs burned to CDs and DVDs that come in handy like Trinity Rescue Kit.

Funnily enough, we actually have 2 dvd burners in our flat: one in my old laptop, and one in my gf’s pc
