So how large is the occupation/pacification force going to be? Where's the neo-Marshall plan for the post war era?

There were something close to 2M soldiers and support staff in occupied Germany in the immediate aftermath of the war.

If you don't do the follow through, you'll be looking at the same situation in the near future only with different actors .
