So many of you would get mad as hell and probably report me and even consider making a fediblock post, but you wouldn’t do the sensible thing and quote tweet it because you’re too cowardly to have that kind of callout culture

but also this is just a fact that is true; same as how you can tell how high-quality crude oil is by tasting it

@rcombs I still have a belief that QRTs in old-Twitter were socially-corrective in many cases

They were shitty sometimes, but they did have some more social power than the mastodon style of "I'm going to go obscurely post screenshots somewhere to tell you how horrible someone is today and why you should shun them forever"
