Omgggg I've been wondering if there's a way to search through my own posts and I just saw a tip today on how to do it.

Just type from:@[your full user id] and then your search term.

Holy carp.

Or try from:me as a shorter alternative.

Fun fact: "me" is a valid username, so that makes the posts by people with that username effectively unsearchable.

Also, you might like https://pachli.app, as it makes it much easier to use the different search operators (https://pachli.app/pachli/2024/07/29/2.7.0-release.html#search-operators).

@nikclayton @iamdavidobrien @SilverArrows @fishidwardrobe @Khrys @blogdiva @kevin wouldn't "from:@Me" find posts by a user called "me" ?

@nikclayton @iamdavidobrien @SilverArrows @fishidwardrobe @Khrys @blogdiva @kevin I just tried it & got no results, but @Me hasn't posted so I'm not sure it's an error

--EDIT--

Ah I'm searching "from:@Me" I didn't know you could drop the @ from the username on searches

Yeah, from:me is the operand for the current user (you).

No @ required (pun intentional).

From:@me will try to find some user, somewhere in your or your server's history.
