Sea ice extent in the Bering Sea well above average but not in the top ten for the date in NSIDC data. That's because there's little ice southwest of Cape Navarin. Ice in the southeast Bering Sea extent extends to Unimak Island, similar to the extreme springs of 2012 and 1976. #akwx #Arctic #SeaIce
