It breaks my heart a little bit when someone asks me for restaurant recommendations in Iceland, but they don’t like seafood or lamb!

Like I’m just not gonna recommend Rosso Pomodoro or Hereford!

@samerfarha I'd keep recommending Vitabar, but I want to to remain local.
@alda I love Vitabar and almost never recommend it to anyone unless dive bar is their vibe. It should remain a local gem! And a seriously good burger.

@samerfarha It's the last stand of the local charm, especially after Ostabúðin stopped serving lunch.

I also need to find myself a new hangout when I'm in Reykjavik after Valkyrjan closed.

@alda oh, I don’t think I ever went there. My current hang out is Skúli, sometimes Microbar (which definitely used to be the place I hung out most but the vibe there changed when the staff turned over last year)
@samerfarha Skúli and Microbar are great. (I used to be a regular at both the old locations of Micro), but snacks and being able to plant myself down with the laptop without being in the way has become difficult.

@alda underrated for that: get a snack at Hygge in Grandi and go sit in the attached hotel lobby. Lots of space, usually calm after the morning rush, and a big table if you’d rather than laid back couches.

Also an OG Micro person. I didn’t really like the second location, though.
