@eniko it's really funny to see interlaced stuff from somebody's European point of view. That and the weird 23-ish frames to 24 remixes are usually the things that makes me recognize ads or series coming from across the Atlantic

@eniko it's one of those effects that belong to the common conscience but I have never lived it through. From what I remember it's all progressive for PAL.

That, my old CRT TV is sharp enough to let me see the pixels well defined, I only saw minimal color bleeding, etc etc. There's so many little differences in what CRT can look like!

Edit: I stand corrected regarding the progressive bit. It was interlaced indeed.

@Ronflaix @eniko PAL is absolutely not progressive, it's 50 fields per second so interlaced. The reason why you saw more definition is because PAL has more lines and the reaso why you didn't see as much color bleeding is because PAL color encoding is just better than NTSC.
