We must make it clear to every Member of Congress that their constituents don't want to pay for Trump's wholly unnecessary carnage in Iran. Email your elected officials and urge them not to give Trump more funds to prolong this illegal war: https://act.indivisible.org/sign/no-iran-war/?source=mastodon
Tell Congress: Stop Trump's War with Iran

Trump's unauthorized war in Iran has already taken the lives of US servicemembers and at least 1,000 Iranian civilians. It has devolved into a larger regional conflict, with missile and drone strikes, military operations, and retaliatory attacks now wounding and killing civilians in countries across the Middle East. The American public is firmly against this conflict. None of us want another forever war. Congress must act. Weโ€™re calling on Members of Congress to respond to this crisis by: Conducting immediate oversight Continuing to force votes on War Powers Resolutions Restricting or cutting off funding for unauthorized hostilities, which includes opposing any supplemental packages that would fund the war Holding the Trump administration accountable and putting an immediate stop to this war. Publicly opposing the war Republicans need to understand that we will not accept their rubber stamping endless wars, and any Democrats who are falling short need to understand that we will hold them accountable.

I really think we've lost the plot here. Yes, we don't want Trump this, and we don't want Trump that... But what we really need is Trump GONE. Congress has the power to remove him. Tell Congress to do THAT, and THAT ALONE. They have ONE JOB now.

@pnystrom

It's important to push now on imminent votes while working to elect a Congress where removal becomes possible (which include bringing new people to #NoKings3, people who participate in protests and other political actions are more likely to vote).

No amount of browbeating will get Republicans to go hard against Trump, it would be political suicide in gerrymandered GOP seats and red states.

@joeinwynnewood @indivisibleteam

I disagree. The constituents in those red states and the gerrymandered districts are waking up. I'm tired of hearing that we don't have the votes or the political will. Ending Nixon's presidency was also impossible... Until it wasn't.

@pnystrom

What polls are you looking at that show Republican primary voters in red districts are "waking up"?

I've seen exactly none. To the contrary, a majority of GOP primary voters in Texas voted for someone other than incumbent US Senator John Cornyn and it's very possible he will lose the runoff to the corrupt but more MAGA Paxton, and that's *without* pissing off Trump.

Cornyn has tried ever so hard to get Trump to endorse him, granted to no avail, so far.
