@AnnieBuddy I was trying to hold out, but “postponing” the State of the Instance meeting scheduled for tonight was just too much for me.

@CAWguy I had contributed twice to the instance and never got any acknowledgment and didn’t get any emails for access to the meeting. So…

@AnnieBuddy @CAWguy Interesting goings on I guess. I had donated a few times as well. I joined his site when it was under 100 users, after the great migration.

But from an admin perspective, I just didn't agree with the decision to go hosted in his basement.

@Catelli For me, I was prepared to have that risk of the servers located in his house. As someone not in your field, I’m surprised at the costs of running the equipment “in the cloud”, so the savings would have been nice to see. But then, I wasn’t expecting this kind of risk!

@CAWguy Fair. I think it's a combination of little things, and some, um, bigger things, that just show an admin that is in over his head.

Yes, I was wondering about that too, but I was thinking I would leave it to the experts. It is disappointing, but I am impressed that it is so easy to move.
