@emery Have you ever thought of doing videos? I've love to see the machine in action.

@Paws2Spindle Here's a test of the needle selection and carriage motion, without any yarn in it :)

I'll try to get video of some actual knitting, but... https://sunny.garden/@emery/116264142703619663

@emery Ooh thanks! All sorts of lovely clicks and clacks of fine-tuned machinery.

I sympathize with the stress of performing for the camera. Does it help if you tell yourself that you can just edit out the embarrassing parts later?

@Paws2Spindle Video editing is not yet one of my skills. :)

@emery That I can sympathize with!

I tried to learn Adobe Premiere and it just made me confused and angry. I do some minimal trim and splice work right in Quicktime on my Mac, but I need to test drive some other options.

@Paws2Spindle I have DaVinci Resolve (free!) but haven't really learned it yet. Seems like picking up a whole new hobby that will take time away from knitting ;)

@emery I've heard of it, but haven't looked into it until now. That's a LOT of capabilities all in one package! Kind of overwhelming. Kind of like Premiere.

Learning that seems less like a hobby and more like getting an advanced degree!

I want to find something that's focused on quick editing of stuff for sharing on the web, and that's intuitive enough that I don't need to re-read the documentation every time I go to use it.

@Paws2Spindle Well, I used to have an Adobe subscription, but the cost/value ratio is so far off these days. Surely there's something simpler to use than Premiere or Resolve, I just don't know what it is.
