I’m looking for a cheap handheld console to keep the kids entertained on long car journeys without internet. Ideally very robust with a long battery life, doesn’t need to play the latest and greatest.

Any recommendations? I hear the Powkiddy V90s is ok…

@teamonkey Why not a used DS?
@krystman Honestly because I think they’d be more expensive and a bit more limiting. Kicking myself for selling my own DS years ago.

@teamonkey You gan get a DS Lite for the same price - easily below 50 bux. An R4 card costs single digits. It‘s way more robust and user-friendly than emulation handhelds. And all the sweet stylus-based games is something few emu handhelds can even replicte.

Emulation Handhelds still cannot beat a DS Lite with an R4

@teamonkey I have a Batlexp G350 which was very cheap and quite cheerful. Got it from AliExpress for... maybe £30-ish? Very good build quality and comfortable to use, and I think it even comes with games. Will need a bit of tweaking to get just right.
