MikaDoes anyone know why my #cat would suddenly choose to randomly drink 'unclean' water instead of his bowl of clean water he's always drank from? My cat's fully outdoors so I obviously can't know for certain what sort of water he drinks when he's away from home, but as far as I'm aware, when he's home, I've never seen him drink anything else but his water I'd replenish everyday but recently, I've caught him a couple of times, drinking water collected from a plastic bag, a puddle from our porch pavement, and today from our fish pond with green, mossy water - even when I put his usual bowl of water right in his face. Idk if this is concerning or what lol, he seems pretty healthy tho.
Daniel@daniel dats what i suspect! i'm just concerned if it's safe, but i don't think i've much power to even change their mind lol. at the very least, i've not seen it happen for too long at once - for example, my cat'll do this today, but tomorrow onwards he'll go back to drinking from his bowl as usual. in the meantime, i'm thinking of ways to cater to his taste, safely, e.g. by collecting rainwater and putting it in a separate bowl or something haha.
