I hate how often I see this kind of update out of context:

DigiScambo 1.8.3.5 release!
Finally, after two years of work, we've finally updated DigiScrambo to use Sneeborf 2.0!
You can download DigiScrambo 1.8.3.5 at http://digiscrambo.egg/releases

like you don't have to give me the whole introduction every time you update anything, but please at least include a single line of "DigiScrambo is a python library for updating firmware on train GPS units"
@foone I see complaints like this from time to time and it is helping me steer towards better release announcements 👍
@foone
Yes, so much this! If you're announcing an update to your software great, but many, or even most of the folks you're talking to on social media may have no clue that it even exists.
@foone also you get one exclamation mark per year to use in release announcements. use it wisely. *lookin at you Cir cuitPython*
@Unixbigot @foone A da frui t's been a lot lately, for sure.
@foone
Ideally with a link to the DigiScrambo introduction page.
@foone It's a Scambo and you still couldn't bring yourself to come up with an illegitimate use 😆
