This fits with most of the people I see using AI-generated images or thumbnails being old enough to have used VHS tape and Mavica floppy disk cameras. Younger people who grew up when HD video and multi-megapixel photos were the norm are better at spotting the slop.

The proliferation of fake buttons, knobs, headshell screws, tape reels, and component feet on cheap '80s and '90s stereo systems make them look AI-generated even when they're not. They're both the result of copying the design language of real components without understanding what all the pieces do and how they're supposed to fit together.

@vwestlife I know it's a bad look but I kinda' love how they decided to chop up the front by using the silver "feet" & faux gap to look like an impossible tower.

It has all the feel of a comic book artist half remembering a stereo & drawing that into a background hoping that Maybe it'll end up hidden by some words or be "High Tech" enough to not get called out on it. = )
