"the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS" -- Trump

Once again, Trump makes clear his intention to commit war crimes:

Rule 50. The destruction or seizure of the property of an adversary is prohibited, unless required by imperative military necessity.

Rule 54. Attacking, destroying, removing or rendering useless objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population is prohibited.

We must #impeach Trump

@gkmizuno

Not forgetting this entire war is considered a supreme war crime.

Crime of Aggression: Planning, preparing, initiating, or waging a war of aggression that violates the UN Charter is an international crime for which individuals can be held accountable. The Nuremberg Tribunal after World War II established this principle, with the court stating that aggression "contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole".

@gkmizuno Is there really nothing we can do to get him out of power sooner rather than later? I watch other countries (like South Korea) take care of things, and rapidly, and think it just highlights many flaws in our system(s) here.

@StephanieMoore In the short-term, all we have is the 25th Amendment and impeachment. A third, potential solution is bringing up war crimes with the ICC and having arrest warrants issued, perhaps even pressing for an Interpol Red Notice; it'd test the willingness of the world to take on Trump.

In the long run, some believe a modification of laws that breaks the 2-party system will give us a better democracy and faster action to removing a tyrant.

@gkmizuno
I think a poison dart is in order.
Impeachment won't happen.
@gkmizuno Taking Iran's power grid offline will also cause Oil market shortages - just one level of cause away from directly destroying oil infrastructure. Which is something I think the US gov't is trying to avoid. Trump and his advisors inability to do even the most basic reasoning is causing so much world economic chaos.

@metaphase @gkmizuno The Pentagon is definitely preparing a ground invasion.

If that occurs, it will just become another Afghanistan.

@an_antifanetwork @metaphase It is odd that they would expend blood and treasure to open up the Strait, given that doing so would also mean that they'd have to stay there until the Strait was safe, which may range between weeks and years.
@gkmizuno impeachment is only the first step.
Criminal prosecution should come next
