@westerling I once saw a luna moth, albeit fleetingly, and I thought I was gonna die
I'm kind of obsessed with them.
@westerling So am I, ever since that fleeting encounter. It was a few years ago on my back porch. I scan the porch every day now with no joy. Have since determined that it was an anomaly. But I don’t think I’ll ever stop checking.
They like birch trees so if you have a stand of birches, you may get some.
@westerling So I hear. No birch trees here. Just live oaks, ashe juniper, and mesquite. Was amazed that this moth showed up at all, it had to be something weird, like a nutty anomalous weather event, that brought it here.
