If there's one thing I've learned from watching our world leaders in recent decades, it's that you'll never find happiness, joy or fulfillment from power. It's a hollow prize that does little to fill the hole in one's heart.

Connection and kindness matter more than war and destruction.
A little heavy for 9am on a Sunday but that's the timeline we're living in sorry.

@ewen That's not heavy, that's my...

I think you're right.

@ewen
It's still 7 Saturday evening here so... perfect ❤️

@ewen

Don't apologize.

This is one of the most basic things all humans need to learn and understand if we're going to ever stop burning the world.

The people at the highest peaks of this culture are miserable sacks of shit. The whole thing is rotten, time to get better hobbies.

@ewen As I started reading this I initially thought you meant the people in power will never bring us, the people happiness.
I guess that's true as well!
Though kinda sad...
@greenpete

I hadn't thought of that but you're right. It's a window and a mirror.
@ewen A thousand times, this.
@ewen don't you think they are happy holding that power, being safe from the constant pressures of the unstable economies, affording all they want, including the most degenerate pleasures? I want to agree with you but I also have my doubts.
@ilookloud

I think they're desperately unhappy. They're angry and miserable and petty and that's why you see dumb arsed decisions like dropping bombs on Iran.

I bet he can't even get hard for his hookers anymore and needs increasingly more extreme stimulation. Pretty sure South Park made an episode about this!
