@eniko we do sleep in the same bed, but we bought a king size one a while back and I couldn't go back down size.
Also I understand that it is not uncommon to sleep in separate bed, room or both. I know 2 close friends couple where it is the case (for various reasons)

@eniko also, on king size, you have the possibility of having two separate blankets which is way better than it seems at first.
I know some Asian countries don't really have king size and instead use two side by side double beds which can allow for different mattress and bedding set

Yoh Deadfall@eniko, usually not even though we live together. Why? She doesn't want to be stomped by our little cat stable, left without blanket and not being able to freely take any pose. And I feel perfectly fine with them and sleep surrounded by the pack. Some of them are even treated as kids.
@eniko, not the whole pack, but almost all of them are here. One guy is in the house. So, only three aren't present on the photo.

Joke aside, we do, have just the one bed but we also got a king sized bed, initially because I need to lay in one position and not move or I wake up in a lot of pain, but now it's because we have a kid who frequently wakes up and crawls into our bed only to lay horizontally and push us both out of the bed.

Same is for my father which sleeps light, and mother that snores a lot.

Shadow53@eniko Separate because my wife goes to bed and wakes up much earlier than me, and if I wake her up in the middle of sleeping, she has a very tough time getting back to sleep.
Patrick H. Lauke@eniko wife and i like to have lots of space...so we got two large double beds. also, she still claims i snore...
disorderlyf@eniko Had one before where we didn't because chronic pain and insomnia with separate sleep "schedules" made it difficult for either of us to get more than a few hours of sleep. As far as I can tell, it didn't effect the relationship.
