Trying out ABCarus for local editing of abc music #notation. I'm running the AppImage on #debian and so far for the simple edits I've done its working well! I've been using online WYSIWYG abc editing tools for years but always wanted something local. This allows you to type out abc notation and sheet music is rendered in real time in split screen, also provides a player so you can hear the music.

@in8sworld is this better than EasyABC?
@devlord
That was the first program I looked at and it was hosted on source forge which I haven't trusted in a long while and it looked like I'd have to compile it and it hadn't been touched for a few years so I skipped down the list to this so answer is no, just faster to get working at the time. EasyAbc looks good too are you using it?

@in8sworld yeah, it seems to have the same features you listed but it’s an old UI. What’s cool is you can put metadata at the top of the file to get it to look the way you want in a pdf.

I notice ABCacus has an agents.md file. Red flag or no?

@devlord
Thanks for mentioning and yes. I will have to review that. I pulled down your 50 tunes we have a lot in common but not all. Very cool!
