The $2 trillion figure for the Iraq/Afghanistan wars isn't wrong, but it's still a fraction of the real cost. The accrued disability costs alone from those conflicts is currently $7.2 trillion.

Weaning the country off fossil fuels is dirt cheap by comparison, even if it costs triple what we predict.
