Tania Warner β€” a 47-year-old who family say is legally in the U.S. on a worker's visa β€” and Ayla Lucas were stopped at a U.S. border checkpoint on their way back from a baby shower.

@Bowreality Ban? No, of course not.

But I'd like to see his government treat this like they would if, say, Russia were kidnapping and holding Canadians for no crime.

That is: travel advisories ("We strongly recommend Canadians avoid living in and traveling to the United States for the foreseeable future"), diplomatic pressure ("We've summoned the US ambassador to Canada to hear why the US government is abusing our citizens"), etc.

@mindbat Travel advisory is fair. That would give people an out when they are sent on business trips.
