A bit of backstory:
I applied for disability in 2025, got it relatively quick. But France doesn't really have any financial benefits to disability status unless it's 80% or more disability percentage, which usually means you have to be seriously immobilized.
Which I think is pretty cynical.
Usually you are supposed to have full coverage for everything related to your disability, this is why I have ALD coverage (which is long-term disease coverage) for my disease and also trans affection care.
Thing is orthopedic insoles are still not covered 100% by Assurance Maladie, for anyone. For me this was approximatively 15 euros... out of 160 euros (including consultation, but still)
I used to have CSS as well, but that was frozen due to CPAM wanting me to provide my birth certificate, even though at the time, I didn't have it in my possesion, I only got it recently...
So right now, I am without any benefits except ALDs, which hurts a lot without any income.
