Indonesia has so many excellent female music groups that it seems pointless to even call them a female music group

FLEUR! - Lagu Lama (Official Music Video)

YouTube

The Indonesian music scene is huge. One of my faves.

The Rolling Stone's former producer did a bunch of projects producing Indonesian music on CDs for KFC (yes!) and he said they sold half a mil copies.. every month.

Anyway he's been there long term and doing some pretty interesting work with local acts. He's found it to be a very innovative and vibrant scene, and I agree.

Was bewegt sie?

@skinnylatte :O a good friend of mine haa this grindcore-extreme metal band and he works with a visual artist from Indonesia for develop their album covers. He tells me that in Indonesia there is a huge extreme metal scene, lots of bands and a lot of other professional artists who work in the music industry!!!
@leoschuldiner23 yeah there is such a range. they also do amazing jazz and folksy stuff
@skinnylatte Oh that’s gonna be pretty interesting to check out, ty for highlighting it :D
@skinnylatte it’s fascinating. There’s also a huge cover scene where they sing popular songs in Bahasa. I’m sure you know. My ex knew all my 70’s songs, just not the original version 😂
@skinnylatte What? Wow that is weird.
@tmiller i mean they produced good, indie-ish music. but it was distributed through kfc.

@skinnylatte ooh, ¡thank you! added this to my Multilingual Incubator for eventual inclusion in my Infectious Multilingual playlists. I've listened to some Indonesian popular music groups such as Telephone.
