Weekend.

This is a elevated planter for the garden.

At some point at least

#woodworking #garden #planten

The same wood after being on the jointer.

It's a bit boring wood. But it's a planter, not a nice piece of furniture

#woodworking

A glueup had happened.

At the moment it's 96 x 170cm

Detailed view of the clamps #woodworking

@mcfly That's awesome! I've seen these clamps for sale, but never seen them in action. How do you like them?

(What are you making?)

@amenonsen They are great. for glueing panels i don't use anything else anymore.

(obviously useless for everything else right....?)

@mcfly What kind of clamps are those? They're new to me.

@msbellows they are called 4-Way pressure clamp and mine are from Woodriver.

Great to glue panels. #woodworking

@mcfly Oh, VERY cool! Thanks!

@msbellows directly get the blocks for it as you likely will build different length of those wooden beams. I have a set that can glue 75cm and a second that can do 120cm. Today I would build 3 sets of the wooden beams.

Also don't buy 2 sets, but at least 4. 2 still allow a board to bend, 3 and more don't.

@mcfly nice clamping action! Are the cross pieces just cauls for pressure, or are they permanent parts of the panel?

@ottaross they actually are part of the clamps. The glueup is just a board. Walls will rise as the next step.

In the end it will become a raised planter. And it will be painted.

@mcfly Very interesting clamps. What are they called?

@Daniel_Blake they are called 4-Way pressure clamp and mine are from Woodriver.

Great to glue panels.

@mcfly

You can paint it with a rainbow flag.

@mcfly is that maple? That’s not boring wood!

@griff I wish. It's what the dutchies call steigerhout and it's a soft wood.

It will not last forever.
