NVDA is great, and I can see how it can be a primary screen reader for a lot of people. I haven’t decided yet if that includes me. Jaws is just what I know so well.
@technocounselor Trust me, if you stick with it long enough and really learn the commands, especially review cursor/object navigation where needed, you will never go back. Never never never never never.
@jpellis2008 @technocounselor I've been trying it for years, I know all the commands, but still I can't work without my JAWS cursor and still I can't stand web pages rendering. I need my separate lines for "List of X items", "List end" etc. Also, too few settings, constant searching for addons, mediocre Braille support without addons, and so on, and so forth. Again, it's a decent product, just not for me as it is.
@menelion @jpellis2008 @technocounselor Can't you get the lines back if you turn off screen layout? NVDA+v.
@prism @jpellis2008 @technocounselor Unfortunately not. It says something like "Entering the list" and lands me inside the list at the same time. I know it's tiny, but there are lots of such tiny things that makes it inconvenient for me.
