I think I may need to buy some sheets that are not white (FFFFFFFFF!) but this will throw off my entire decor scheme and necessitate other changes which I do not have a good answer for???? Devastating, life ruined, whole facade of reality crashing down, etc.

Feeling aesthetically nice about the room I am in is a load bearing part of my mood. I can't explain why but it makes such a difference for me.

No this is so real. Also I am the type of turbonerd that read your reaction sound and thought you meant #FFFFFF (white)

#FFFFFF
Knowing color IDs on sight is a rare skill, I'm impressed by that. But yes it's a TRAGEDY because if my sheets change color they won't match my curtains anymore! and it will change the whole vibe of my bed which is IN THE MIDDLE of my apartment!! So now I need to either rethink the whole thing or find a way to integrate a new color. (Probably dark blue). But I have lots of light blue around with white and beige and black. And I do not want it to look bad. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels derailed by room changes.
If you want to bounce ideas on colors sometime lmk! I love a color. I helped my mom pick paint colors for her place

I was just about to ask you! My sheets and bedskirt and curtains are white, blanket is beige and patterned light blue. Carpet is also patterned light blue. Furniture is wood color with black accents. I'm attached to my curtains so probably will never change them. If you wanted dark sheets, probably dark blue ones, what would you change or add to make it fit?

What light does your room get? Primarily cool or primarily warm?
I'm say mostly cool. Like daylight colored.

Have you looked at Coolors.co at all? They have an AI feature but you have to choose it, the normal generator is just a generator, but you could try out different colors with the rest of your palette.

You probably wouldn't be amiss with choosing a black similar to the black in the wood furniture, but if you wanted to get a little spicy and fun with it, maybe a coffee color?

lol i thought it was a hex code too .. i rly feel this about the sheet colors tho, i remember noticing when i bought my bedframe cause i got 2 pairs of the same color sheets along with it and it was like holy shit the fact that my sheet colors never change when i change my sheets is actually soo stabilizing to my mood ???

It creates like a real foundation! I have always been a person who buys duplicates of things I like too and it has really settled into my mind as "bed is this color, every day every week, safety and calm" lol. It feels like I'm ritually changing my life to alter something so fundamental.

Sage green is so inherently peaceful, too.

ngl could work for you too depending on the blue
It def could. I think I am avoiding green/blue combos for myself right now because it makes me remember my teenage bedroom but I do LIKE green a lot, as a color. I'm really heavily considering black actually, I like how opposite it is from what I have now while still being kind of neutral. Plus my all my dishes are black and white so it would make me happy to have more of it around.
im a big b/w fan for home stuff cause of how it doesnt rly clash w anything like chromatically .. clothes too tbh .. i started gravitating toward like clear acryllic or glass kitchen stuff a while ago and thats been nice for a sim reason
i guess a grey would accomplish something sim .. and u could lean just a little cooler or warmer that way too if u wanted

Yeah, I thought of gray too, but the hard part about gray is that it varies SO much, in very noticeable ways, even if you buy the same sheet set from the same manufacturer. It will vary in warm/cool tones as well as brightness. If you're okay with that it's totally cool, but since we are looking for stability I was a little nervous about it

Black also has warm/cool variation, but it's a little less noticeable between sets

ugh yea trying to match my black clothes -__-;
I think since I'm gonna go cheap, black is simpler too because of trying to avoid stains. Lots of the greys and silvers and such I'm seeing around my price range look like they could not win a fight against a tea spill.
Also be aware of bleaching agents!
Yes! It kind of melds into whatever other themes and colors are around without being boring. Clear/glass kitchen stuff is god tier tbh.
