NVDA is great, and I can see how it can be a primary screen reader for a lot of people. I haven’t decided yet if that includes me. Jaws is just what I know so well.
@technocounselor I was in the same boat as you. I had used jaws sense it's dos days. smile. oh sure, I also used window-eyes from time to time, but I was 99 percent jaws. I made the choice to switch last october, because I knew I couldn't really afford my jaws hom manual lisence last november, so in october I dropped jaws, and have been using NVDA sense.
@JamminJerry @technocounselor Is there a way to virtualize the window in nvda like you can in jaws? explain the review and flat navigation modes for nvda please.
@keao @technocounselor I don't know all that stuff very well. I am still learning things myself. smile.
@JamminJerry @technocounselor got it! and I love nvda because it's fast at loading, I know DVR is going to slowly force students to use NVDA but the commands how the hell can I teach new students when they are so use to jaws?
@keao @JamminJerry @technocounselor I hope that they eventually do pick up NVDA. It is very capable.
@remixman @JamminJerry @technocounselor it is but then again all the commands are different you would need to know what your doing and explaining to them.
