Interestingly it would be stunning if Toyota – which famously eschewed EVs in pursuit of alt fuels like hydrogen – ended up walking away okay from this; their latest round of North American EVs are much more competitive. But as this article says, the direction is very clear and US (and some EU!) manufacturers aren't on it.
