paris@paris oh paris. Saharan dust is back and the light is poor these days. It's cold and windy too. At dawn, a mud rain fell and covered the whole city with a veil of thin soil.
I was taking a very short break, sitting on a bench when I noticed it. Only after taking the picture I realised that it's so uncommon to meet a totally unharmed being.

@1moremin goodness, a mud rain… i have never experienced such a thing! i cannot imagine how strange: a “muddy” river here is a healthy living thing, but a mud rain…?
and here a gift for your eyes (and now ours): an untouched little being, striving up to the sun… no thoughts of mud rain, no awareness of its own perfection, its own context. a childlike little love, perfect and green. what a gift to see! especially on such a day!! 🫂🌱💖
@paris the lovely mud rains! it's that kind of thing that every place on earth has: a natural phenomenon that is good for nature but disrupts, annoys the people. Heat or humidity or whatever. For us it's the mud rain. It makes us sigh.
Laundry must be kept in to dry, the cars need desperate wash, the balconies need cleaning. The air is heavy and the colours are sad.

@1moremin what a gift! a local gift, a shibboleth of knowing… ah, i read but recently that the vast sea of trees north of me, the true amazon, requires a special nutrient not found in our autochthonous soils, but which must be imported: it comes, and has come (and oxalá will come forevermore) from the far-distant sahara, on (i’m guessing?) the same winds which sully your balconies and make mess of laundry!
