Josh 🏳️🌈I'm finally at a place where I think I'm pretty happy with the Yoshi song I have been trying to remix. The most recent change I made was designing a better bass preset in Dexed and getting that properly eq'd for the mix. I wish I had a real bass and amp, but an FM synth is a fine substitute especially for video game music.
I hope people like it. I don't know when I'll release it, I'm still thinking about rerecording the guitar "solo". I might leave it as is, just because it's simple and it actually sounds pretty good as is. It's a little sloppy, but in the mix it sounds fine. It's not like this is an original song, so it doesn't have to be absolutely perfect. The imperfections actually make it kind of better in a way, because it's real.
