Felis_Catus_Domesticusit's all imported anyways, because.. globalization. All we really grow here in meaningful amounts are the large commodities- soybeans, corn, (some) rice, wheat. That's all the midwest has got the climate to grow anyways. California is a different story. That's where the high value crops ar grown- fruits, nuts, marijuana, herbs, spices. CA got it's shit together way ahead of the other states because we're so much bigger. Failure is not an option, unlike Kansas, etal.
