I would like to test the delivery of an e-zine in PDF format from my Dropbox folder, in preparation for the #MonochromeMarch e-zine launch next month.
So, I have uploaded the 178MB PDF of my printed zine, The Poetry of Water, to Dropbox so that anyone who wants to can download it for free, with the proviso that you let me know of any issues you encounter.
If we encounter problems I will explore other options.
Here is the link:

Thank you for your help,
Steven

@StevenLawsonPhotography I get cannot display... Is of an invalid format on my android phone. Will try on my desktop.
@emsquared It might be a file size issue, it’s a pretty big file

@StevenLawsonPhotography this seems to work fine ~ the prompt to login or signup can be by-passed easily ツ

I would say that if you have a server, that might be a more straight forward option. If you need someone to host it for you ~ I can do that for you if you need (ideally though it'll be for a limited time only to avoid prolonged server loads).

@humanum Thanks for the feedback, I’m trying to avoid setting up a server for the time being but it’s an option for further down the line

@StevenLawsonPhotography ツ anytime ~ and happy to help if you just need somewhere to host it, if you prefer that for this time around ツ

looking forward to the Zine already ~ been great to see all the lovely posts ツ

@humanum That's really kind of you, thanks. I'll bear in mind the hosting offer.
@StevenLawsonPhotography must be just the app I was using, Moshidon. As tried it via Phanpy.Social and no bother so as you were.
@StevenLawsonPhotography Downloaded this (it landed as a web page, gone after I clicked away) without problems. A lovely zine, Steven and no problems that I could see.

@StevenLawsonPhotography

Downloaded on my laptop without problems. Beautiful photos :)

@StevenLawsonPhotography No issues, iPad with Safari.
Thanks!
@StevenLawsonPhotography
No issues with downloading this on my GrapheneOS phone.
@StevenLawsonPhotography 👍 Works fine. Vanadium browser displays it as a preview in Dropbox, and the downloaded file displays in the PDF viewer and with KOReader. It is noticable that the file is large and the pages take a moment to load.
@StevenLawsonPhotography works perfectly on iPhone without Dropbox, and on my weird opensource Firefox PC.
@StevenLawsonPhotography downloaded and opened just fine (on desktop), though I had to ignore the invitations to login to dropbox.
@StevenLawsonPhotography also, gorgeous photos!
@nxskok Thanks very much Ken, glad it worked for you.
@StevenLawsonPhotography
Downloaded without issue via Vivaldi for Android.
The PDF viewer did get a bit sluggish displaying all the images.
@StevenLawsonPhotography worked for me on iPhone without logging in or anything! It’s beautiful!
@StevenLawsonPhotography Downloaded on desktop, no problems. Gorgeous photos! Because of the dense blacks I wonder what kind of paper - if any - you're planning to print this ezine on.
@Jude_theone479001 I won't be printing it - it will be an e-zine, which means it will be available as a downloadable PDF file which you should be able to view on any device with PDF reader software.

@StevenLawsonPhotography 1. Ignore all the appeals to log in or to make an account

2. File menu: Download

There is a download icon in the top toolbar, but that toolbar is hidden at narrow browser window widths. The menu is invisible in a narrow window too. I guess they want to force an app download for mobile users.

@StevenLawsonPhotography opening and watching the pdf works totally smooth and easy. and your images, you probably know that, are just a breeze to look at. beautiful work. thanks for sharing
@StevenLawsonPhotography worked well, Steven. No issues with access.
@StevenLawsonPhotography
No problems—just visual poetry at its finest. Thank you very much, Steven.
