Around town today I saw that regular is just under $6/gal and diesel is almost to $7/gal.

Looks like Costco is about $5.50/gal for regular which makes it the cheapest place around.

Good thing I don't need gas anytime soon.

@douglasvb I narrowly avoided another 400 miles of driving this weekend in my truck by paying $125 to park my boat trailer for the weekend instead of driving it all the way home and then coming back to the boatyard without it. Diesel is at least $6.50/gallon here and since my truck gets about 15 miles per gallon when it's not hauling a 13,000 pound boat, not only did I save 7 hours of my time, and 2 stressful mountain crossings in weather, but I saved some money, too.
@douglasvb I'm going to have to figure out a way to load the stuff I need for a week on the boat into my Honda, which gets about 30 mpg. But with just two seats and a very tiny trunk that would be quite a challenge.
@mlanger time to upgrade to an electric boat I guess because the price of fuel at the dock must be insane.
@douglasvb It's actually cheaper than at the pump in a lot of places and that's because road taxes don't apply. I also get fuel at the "bulk rate" here because I'm part of a fleet of boats. I'll fuel it up after I get it into the water, hopefully sometime this coming week. I tell you one thing: cruising at 6 to 8 kn is looking a lot more attractive these days then usual 12 to 14.
@douglasvb Also, have you seen the prices of electric boats?
@mlanger they're crazy expensive right now. I expect though that it'll become more competitive as more manufacturers get into that game.
@douglasvb I met a guy who owned a Green-something-or-other. He was a real self-important asshole. I bet he owns a Tesla #Cybertruck, too.
