Just found out everyone in my building is being given section 21 notices weeks before the new housing laws kick in and eliminate these kinds of evictions. Is there anything I can do? I really don't want to move again.

Can you hashtag your general location? It helps locals understand your needs and know if they can help.
Brum! (... me and my big mouth ...)
Social Services is now just a money gouging facade for the Tories (as they most likely own the property used for community housing they make more money by marginalising and criminalising people than by providing social services).
Housing, help and advice should be available through the Birmingham City Council website (they'll send you to Shelter, Midland Heart Housing and other orgs) but hasn't worked for me!
CitizensAdviceBureau also has an online presence and may still be holdng appointments at libraries.
Kolektiva member Pamela1960 recommended a community membership of a few pounds a month to the Unite Union (which I joined in September 2025).
I've not used their services yet but there is plenty on the site (phone numbers, local branches).
The main page isn't loading for me at the moment but the join page is opening.
No problem, mate. 🙏
