Human Rights Watch has called on Hungary to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits, in accordance with the warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.

It added, citing an unnamed official source, that Netanyahu is expected to travel to Hungary on Saturday, March 21, to deliver a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in the country.

Alice O’Toole, a researcher on international justice at the organization, said that despite Hungary’s withdrawal from the International Criminal Court, it remains obligated to arrest and surrender individuals wanted by the court.
