Back in the 80s, as a youngster, I built a cricket simulation on my HP41 calculator. It evolved onto Apple IIe with CP/M, then various PC iterations before lying moribund for decades. In the depths of COVID I rewrote it in NodeJS as a nasty CLI kind of thing. I got to work with Claude Code, the original 80s BASIC code, alongside the Node rework, and voila! An iPhone version. To be clear this has an audience of one (me) but it’s amazing to come full circle from one handheld computer to another.
