To avoid burnout at work use the 30-30 rule: after 30 minutes of work, quit your job and disappear into the mountains for 30 years.
Today is traditionally the day to show off your clockwork Zeppelins.

OK, a Hail Mary post, for the Kiwis here. (Or any travellers here, I guess.)

Last year I bought a fairly high-spec MacBook Pro.

16" M3 Pro (12 CPU, 18 GPU), 36GB RAM, 4TB SSD.

It's an incredible machine. But... I found myself doing more travelling than I expected and with my back the way it is, and the size of bag required to comfortably fit it, it just wasn't working. Otherwise I'd still be using it for years yet. I've replaced it with a nearly identical 14" model (which by the time I did this was an M4).

I spent an arm and a leg on it and now I'd like to realise some of that value by passing it on to someone who wants it. It seems clear I'm going to take a serious bath on what I paid for it, I presume because it is a higher spec model (probably most TM buyers are used to the prices they see in Noel Leeming et al).

There are trade-in offers (not Apple, boo!) but all the main ones with online estimators don't even have M3 models in their lists and their M2 prices are LOW. Also... none seem to sell to the public, so I have no idea what their markup is.

I'd rather:
1. Not pay TM their cut.
2. Sell to someone who appreciates what it is.
3. Get a fair price (acknowledging I will lose a LOT of the original price I paid).

If anyone here is seriously interested, please let me know. I'm happy to ship anywhere in NZ, or we can arrange to meet in the Welly area.

It only got 9 months of use and is still in excellent condition, in its original box, with all original inclusions.

It would make my day if I could earn some spending money for my impending overseas holiday.

Once a derelict relic of fossil fuel era, now a giant shrine to late stage capitalism
