New RTO mandate just dropped.

Old policy: 3 daysba week with Mandatory Monday, no consecutive days at home.

New policy: 4 days per week in the office. Though Friday count as 2 days.

Policy takes effect in two weeks. God help you if this conflicts with your child care arrangements.

Interesting timing considering the International Energy Agency says commuting should be limited as war in the Middle East intensifies and fuel shortages begin.

Once again industry and leadership is out of touch with reality.

They should be preparing everyone to work from home.

Idiots.

Kind of seems like power and competence are inversely related. :3c

I was at a company that has done such things before. It was in part motivated by a desire to increase attrition.

Energy cost are high. I have a partial buffer through an electric car. But summer electricity rates are about to kick in. Those rates can be double current rates.

Also, thr company has prohibited leadership from putting the policy in writing. They have never had the RTO in writing. These announcements only go out in meetings that are not recorded. If someone takes a screenshot of the meeting, it is reported to the company (I am guessing most others do not have HDMI recorders or devices to strip copy protection).
