The MacBook Neo has me thinking about trying a Mac for portable use again. We've got a MacBook Pro here that died in the middle of Covid. It stopped booting, black screen. I'm wondering if it's worth hauling into an Apple store (an 80 mile trip for me) to see if it can be revived. Or is it too old to be worth it, or is it even supported. Probably a 2017 model. Thoughts Mac folk?

@JSteven Two options I can think of:

Ship it to the Apple Store for repair. Call them first, they'll send you a box, they'll probably charge you a flat fee.

Buy the new laptop and use the old one as a trade-in. Because it's not running, they probably won't give you very much money for it, but you can start fresh and you don't have to throw the old one away. They will recycle it.

Good luck!

That's an option, Maria, but I really don't mind the drive if I decide to do it, and I'd really like to talk to a person directly if I can. Besides, if I go to the Apple store, the nearest LEGO store isn't that far away!
@JSteven That sounds like a double win: an Apple Store and a Lego store!
