The MacBook Neo has me thinking about trying a Mac for portable use again. We've got a MacBook Pro here that died in the middle of Covid. It stopped booting, black screen. I'm wondering if it's worth hauling into an Apple store (an 80 mile trip for me) to see if it can be revived. Or is it too old to be worth it, or is it even supported. Probably a 2017 model. Thoughts Mac folk?

Update on this. After more research, I've tried every keyboard trick I've seen to get the thing to start up, either into the OS or into a safe mode. None of them have worked. But I HAVE confirmed that the screen backlight is coming on. I couldn't see that before, probably because the office I was playing it with in was too bright. So, the screen isn't COMPLETELY dead, and at least it's turning on and responding to the power button, if nothing else.
