Earlier today, I was asked to comment on the current state of disaster preparedness in the United States.
That was already a fraught question, even prior present chaos, but then I saw today's headlines. ðŸ«

Sitting on a park bench in a sunny day years back, doing the ham radio hobby, I had a vertical antenna, a few radials tossed out on the lawn.
Curious guy walks up and asks me about it. I say how the electromagnetic waves go out from the antenna.
But the guy stares at the antenna with these wild sketchaboo eyes, and then he suddenly blurts out,
"I can see the waves!"
Someone like that guy!
That's the teleporter who's in change of FEMA response.
