My home for the next 10 days. #boating

My housesitter arrives at my house this evening to babysit it.

@mlanger That's a really pretty boat. Looks like a good day there, too, not a lot of waves. 😉
@forestfern Very true! But what's weird is that there's a train track about two blocks away and every time a train goes by, the boat vibrates. I don't feel that when the boat's in the water!🤣🤣🤣
@mlanger Oh that is weird. Water must absorb the vibrations.

@forestfern There happens to be one going by right now!

It's not a big vibration, but it's definitely noticeable. I don't notice it at all when the boat is in the water.

@mlanger Ha! There's a train about a half mile from my house. Inside the house, there's a subtle, numbing vibration through the floor, walls, & doors, but outside, no clue there's a train even moving down the road.
@forestfern I lived with a train passing by the back of my house for 11 years. This (and likely that) is NOTHING compared to having one go by so close.🤣 #ThingsIDontMissAboutMyOldHouse
@mlanger The Earth is moving?!! I can't even imagine that kind of power.
@forestfern It could be pretty intense. Especially if you were out in the backyard.
@mlanger I envision the scenes in Tremors where the characters encounter the earthworms coming for them underneath the surface of he desert. Yikes!
@forestfern Not quite that bad, but I could often feel it before I saw it.
