Domestically. He also became an important symbol internationally for those in small countries repressed by the Soviet Union. Eastern Europe in particular did a brisk black market trade in dubbed and subbed VHS tapes of him killing Communists.
Scratch an anti communist and a fascist bleeds
Truly the Soviet Union did more to harm the cause of global Marxism than any other political alignment in history. The workers needed a counterrevolution to dislodge the likes of Stalin and Beria. Their deaths came too late. No sane person wants Fascism, and all Stalin (and Mao) ever did was behave like Fascists. The so-called voices for the workers never spoke so, and primed the Eastern Bloc to despise the practices that could have been of use in dislodging the madmen of Moscow. At least their stain on the red flag has been driving more independence in the East, with much of the world realizing that the endless wars and capitalist exploitation of Trump, Putin, and Xi have no future.
Says the person defending a right wing racist asshole
Nay. The icon for the workers he represents in those countries outweighs the corruption we have seen in ours. All workers oppose corrupt officials.

Thus is the ancient scale. Weight against a man's heart, whatever you use, has a multitude of longitude lines we can draw at.
Sorry to get poetic. Sometimes I do that and I get accused of sounding like #AI. I can feel the em dash coming on. 😜 What I'm trying to communicate is that the man's dead. We can spend a weekend looking for one good thing to say. We can also follow that with detestation of Fascism. He'd probably be okay with that throughout most of his life.
The way Norris got at the end of his life wasn't just cringe, it was embarrassing. Most humans get kooky at end of life. Look what's happening with Trump. To me they're both pieces taking apart economic systems. To me they are both unraveling at the end of their lives. Humans have been in pissing matches for a while over #Boomer economic divides. We really need to discard the old systemic labels and values from our thinking. We need to put humans who deserve to be in the trash in the trash for reasons that aren't a party affiliation. The Soviet was useful to the oppressor; Norris, as an opponent, became a folk figure. He's also someone I didn't like to watch because his movies were hardly #JohnWick. The plots weren't engaging and the violence wasn't impressive, just garish. He illuminates a useful thing, though: obsolete political alignments. We're reaching the point where Marxist hagiography is no better than Fascist propaganda, but the faithful of both keep praying to the notion of a command economy. Sorry, but the Soviet stole from the workers and had oligarchs just like Nazi Germany did. They're the same thing with the same color flag in a different language. The real world moved on. We should be putting the ideologies in the dust bin for the right reasons, too. The reality is history didn't, as Marx claimed, stop. Therefore the theory and politics from the Communist, Socialist, Maoist, and Capitalist system eras are all suspect, as flawed as the lies they funded the creation of to prop up their regimes. Now we have a lot of well-intentioned Marxists who are being seduced into burning things down. You can't play accelerationist games that just want to roll dice. You need to know what you get after a revolution. You need to be willing to discard both sides' economic politics. Leave the #Boomers in the Cold War.
A newlywed couple couldn't buy a house in twentieth century Soviet countries and they can't buy one in America now. If you ask the
that means there should have been a revolt. If you ask why they didn't revolt the experts tiptoe around when answering you. Both places had enough discontent, the oppressor has just been using different jargon. If someone cares about a worker's movement the easy thing to do would be to hitch a wagon to the Acceleration jackasses. They say, "roll the dice." The urge is to align loosely with Fascists, and racists of all stripes, and not care about the day after the revolution. When a real Marxist would be discarding both Churchill and Stalin, and everything that came after their "peace," that seems attractive. Good human beings see past that as soon as their head is clear. You've got to see how both parties' revolutions always turned out: bad for the people. Kill both parties' movement. The workers are best fed by a different ideology. We have to realize human beings are passing down tactics that oppress in any system. We have to realize that the weaknesses of those tactics are to be our tactics. Sure, that requires a higher expectation of our footsoldiers – and so they can be better. They must be better. We must form a society of better bastards. So be it.
When I see the workers pirating dubbed and subbed copies of Delta Force or Fire Fox or Strike Eagle or whatever anti-Soviet B-movie I see a revolutionary act. The people's revolution must invite the satisfaction of the governed. The Soviet didn't have it, didn't want it, and our contemporary nostalgia-peddlers just don't get it. The People's Soviet was not the people's; and it wasn't courting their satisfaction. Their government was a tool of the oppressor.
So, like, yeah, but what do we do? I'd be having my fellows take classes in how to read humans, manipulate social situations, and make old fashioned black powder. These skills are going to be useful, and I hear the reason the Epstein class want us all diabetic is to keep us from making saltpetre. If the oppressor doesn't want us to have it then we need to be able to have it. Discard your opinions to the contrary as well. Everyone must be personally involved in being a potential lieutenant of the people.

Agreed. We have the science to disprove racism and the social skill to debug it as if it were a bug in society. We should stop trying to argue about what is [word] and just make everyone know the racists are stupid. That's how you fix a racist. You make certain that everywhere they go everyone is proving them wrong. When they say "I want to debate" they are preying on the kids' lack of tools. The teacher's unions need to stop using Stalinist tools like student walkouts and actually teach! Tell a child to hate a racist they flip a coin onbhow edgy they want to be. Give a child a tool to convert a racist and you weaponize them and the former racists they homogenize!
