Dublin City Council, with the support of the National Transport Authority, is engaging in a small pilot project which will see around 40 cycle lockers of different types being installed in various locations around the city centre.

@clickhere I don't know. I know ebike people who are terrified to take their wheels into town especially at night.
The actual units in picture are a bit too much.
@kieransweeney Yeah, I can understand that concern, defo, but I don't think this is the answer to that.
@clickhere is everything done for us cyclists a bad idea? Like what's the problem here? @kieransweeney
@clickhere @ownohmanny This service has been around for ages around town at stations and people use it. Dart especially. No harm... just not ugly

@kieransweeney Yes, I know. As well as everything else, they don't belong in the public realm.

@ownohmanny

@clickhere @ownohmanny Like parked cars 😄
@kieransweeney @ownohmanny Exactly - I said this about these things yesterday: they're about the same size as parked cars all over the place, and just as fugly.
@clickhere @kieransweeney is it that they take up too much space?
@ownohmanny @kieransweeney That's one downside, plus privatisation of public space, as well as everything I mentioned above.
@clickhere @kieransweeney I've got no skin in this game. I expect they'll last a few years.
